Untitled Artworks, Blurring the Lines of Art and Fashion

Untitled Artworks, Blurring the Lines of Art and Fashion

The essence behind Erasmo A. Ciufo's clothing brand is his approach to making garments and his intricate attention to detail

We spend a lot of time in the Venn diagram overlap between art and fashion, and are heavily inspired by some of high fashions earliest profile (or cross-over) collaborations like...

Sterling Ruby x Prada, Futura x Vuitton, Kenny Scharf x Dior, etc.

O-Park comes from a background of working with artists to create physical garments, so when a creative comes around like Erasmo who approaches the garment design and production process in such an intimate way - we find it worth paying attention to.

A little background on Erasmo

Erasmo is a veteran in the design space. He's a member of the Adidas Creators Farm, Creative Director for Italian musician super-star Sfera Ebbasta, and the Creative Director of his own business Lettergram, which works with today's top brands. Erasmo is also lead design at one of our favorite fashion houses, County of Milan. To top all of that off, Erasmo has a simply exceptional resume of brands he's worked with, including Prada, Off-White, Coca-Cola, Louis Vuitton, Lamborghini, Heron Preston, Uniqlo, Big Sean, 21 Savage, Metro Boomin, and Joey Badass.

The inception of Untitled Artworks

Releasing a project of his own under the nom de guerre "Untitled Artworks" was an inevitable progression. The branding motifs could be described as an artsy Paleolithic aesthetic. Pre-historic symbolism likened to what you'd see on the side of a cave wall. He embraces the hand-made process and each manufactured garment comes with imprecisions and imperfections with the purpose of restoring value to the essence of human presence.

The devil is in the details with Erasmo. He's not shipping a pattern off to a factory, picking a color from a Pantone book and calling it a day. Each garment is hand-sewn in house and undergoes a manual dying process on a calculated color spectrum. Silk screens get burned, pulled and pressed in the studio. Any stitching additions or applique are all done by one person. One of our favorite details are his hand stitched tags which act as certificates of authenticity with each of his limited release runs.

Erasmo's inaugural release "2020-1" was a series of 99 unique garments, where his described process really comes to life.

Since this release, he has come out with one other collection, "2021-1" which just dropped within the past few weeks (first picture in article). If you, like us, appreciate art as fashion/fashion as art, Untitled Artworks hits the sweet spot.
