High, Low and In Between - An Americana Fantasy

NEIGHBORHOOD and One Of These Days team up to create the ultimate Americana clothing capsule
When you mash Japan-based clothing brand NEIGHBORHOOD with the signature style of Matt McCormick - LA-based artist and co-founder of One Of These Days - it takes the form of a capsule that captures the Americana fantasy with a dash of modernity. Few can pull off an Americana design approach nowadays, McCormick is one of those people.
For this collection - which includes both clothing and accessories - One Of These Days tied in elements of The Old West, specifically referencing Townes Van Zandt’s 1970 album High, Low and in Between.
McCormick's sketches and Van Zandt’s lyrics are printed on some of the NEIGHBORHOOD signatures, including a hooded parka, M65-style field jacket, suede trucker and sweatsuit.
In a recent NEIGHBORHOOD Instagram post, here's a quote from Matt McCormick regarding the collaboration...
"A couple years ago while visiting Japan, Poggy introduced me to Shinsuke Takizawa, I have long been a fan of Shin and NEIGHBORHOOD and hoped to one day be able to work together on a project. That hope turned into a reality when in May of last year Shin reached out about doing a collection together. Having visited Shin’s space in Tokyo and getting to know him and his eye for quality and aspects of history that I hold near and dear, I was elated and honored at the opportunity. It allowed me to start looking at One Of These Days Co. in a new light and see what was possible with the brand. My hope is that it will serve as a platform to continue to make higher quality garments, but also a jumping off point to work with new people and mediums."
“High, Low and In Between” launched today and is available on both NEIGHBORHOOD and On Of These Days Co. websites. The release of this collection also served as a relaunch of the brand with more exciting announcements coming soon.
